Shazam! (2019)

In Shazam! (2019), 14-year-old foster kid Billy Batson (Asher Angel) gains the ability to transform into an adult superhero (Zachary Levi) by saying the word “Shazam.” Bestowed with powers by an ancient wizard (Djimon Hounsou), Billy embraces his alter ego to explore his newfound abilities with the help of his foster brother, Freddy (Jack Dylan Grazer). From super strength to electricity manipulation, Billy tests his powers while also trying to adjust to his new foster family.

However, Billy soon faces a real threat in the form of Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Mark Strong), who seeks to steal his powers for himself. With his family and city at stake, Billy learns that true heroism comes not just from superpowers, but from courage, friendship, and family bonds.
